MEET DR. DILL

Dr. Lauren Dill (she/her) earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited Fuller Graduate School of Psychology and completed her fellowship in Geropsychology at the APA-accredited VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Dr. Dill is licensed to practice in the state of California (PSY 25166) and has worked for almost 20 years conducting clinical care in a diverse array of inpatient and outpatient medical systems and clinics. She has worked with adults of all ages and backgrounds, and her expertise spans individual and group therapy, complementary and integrative medicine approaches, psychological and cognitive assessments, clinical consultation, and supervision of psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows. She holds a particular speciality in addressing the mind-body connection and the impact of aging and medical conditions on mental health and wellness.

Kenshō Psychology draws inspiration from the Zen Buddhist concept of "kenshō", meaning "a glimpse of one's true nature”. Kenshō is a powerful metaphor for the therapeutic journey. It reflects the idea that true healing and transformation comes from within and that the therapist's role is to support the client in uncovering their own inner truth and wisdom. By integrating the concept of kenshō into therapy, Dr. Dill can help clients not just manage symptoms but achieve a deeper level of self-understanding and fulfillment, leading to lasting change and well-being.

Dr. Dill employs evidence-based treatments within a holistic and integrative framework, combining a collaborative and warm approach with techniques that foster curiosity and non-judgmental awareness. She is dedicated to helping clients overcome adversity, reprogram unhealthy thought patterns, and lead more fulfilling and authentic lives. Viewing therapy as a sacred partnership, Dr. Dill is committed to helping clients transform their wounds into wisdom and cultivate deep personal growth.

Her personal and professional interests include healthy aging/longevity, psychedelic medicine, integrative and Ayurvedic medicine, meditation, yoga, and spirituality. With seminary training and an extensive exploration of spiritual traditions over the years, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Shamanism/Native American Spirituality, and Christianity, she embraces and respects all paths, identities, and cultural backgrounds.
